Hi, I have a cat that I brought from Japan.
I leave him at my friend's house when I travel or go back to Japan temporarily. When my friend is traveling, I take care of my friend's cat. I don't receive any fee from my friend because we both have the same cat. We only exchange souvenirs.
If you are traveling for 2 nights, you can leave your cat at home if you prepare more water and food, and if possible, two toilets.

When leaving your cat at a friend's house, you need to be careful that
① the cat is spayed or neutered （ cats have a 100% pregnancy rate after mating ）
② you also bring a toilet （ that has your scent on it
③ Have your nails clipped （ It's quite scary to clip someone else's cat's nails ）
④ Have a room or cage where your friend's cat can be alone and safe for the first few days.
A collapsible cloth gauge called a pet tent is useful.

Also, it is important that the cats are compatible with each other.
If the owner agrees, you can leave the cat with the owner for a few days as a trial to see if they are compatible.
