I graduated from East Bay Community College over a decade ago.
I currently reside in Japan.

I recently got a job in Japan, and as part of the hiring process, I am required to submit （ a duplicate diploma ）
from the college.

I contacted the school and was told that they can issue a duplicate diploma, but the fee can only be paid by personal check or money order.
Currently, there is no bank in Japan that handles money orders.

Since we have been back home for more than 10 years, we do not have an account at a bank in the US, so payment by check is also impossible.

Does anyone have any ideas
on how to get a college diploma （ duplicate diploma ） from Japan ？

Have they done away with customs declarations ？ My parents, who are in their 70s, are coming here in May, and I am worried because it will be the first time they are coming alone, and neither of them speak English.

If I fail to file a return, is there any additional taxation or anything like that? ？


I am currently living in Japan and started a Partnership LLC in California with a friend who lives in the US.
No expenses have been incurred.
My friend is doing the tax filing as an LLC.
I have not received any distributions from this LLC, but I am doing a TaxReturn because the earnings of the Partnership LLC are considered personal income.

I have been filing two tax returns,
Federal 1040NR
State 540NR
and since 2021 I have been using the TaxReturn filing tool （ TaxAct ） to file my tax returns via e-file. TaxAct TaxReturn
I thought I had completed the 2022 return, but the State return was not sent. It seems that I did not meet the e-file requirements. I checked and found that I also failed to file for 2021, so I think I will file another return by mail.
Note that I have received some money back from Federal, but not from State.

If I include last year's return to the state, will I have to pay additional tax like in Japan?

こんにちは。床にちゃぶ台を置いて、そこでパソコンで仕事をすることになり、あまりに腰が痛いので、座椅子を買うことを思いつきました・・・が、いわゆる日本であるところの、座椅子（硬いのではなくて、やわらかくて、背もたれとアームレストがついていて、床からは少し高い）がＷｅｂでもお店でもなかなか見つかりません。アジア系のお店ならあるのかなと思っていますが・・・どこで買えるか、あるいはこんなのを見た、と言う方がいらしたら教えてくださいませんか？よろしくおねがいします。なお、デスクにイスはスペース上無理なので、座椅子で・・・と思っています。

I have decided to get a driver's license ！
The DMV website says that I need at least two documents for the test, such as ID, bank account documents, apartment contract, and electric/gas bill, etc.
The apartment and electric/gas contract are in my husband's name. The apartment and the electricity and gas are in my husband's name and not in my name. （ I was told that I need an ID to open a bank account, but I could not do so because I do not have a driver's license or ID card.

I would appreciate it if someone who has obtained a driver's license and was in a situation like mine could tell me what kind of documents they submitted to the DMV.
