Section 8?　教えてください。

最近、craigslistなどで、For　Rentの家やAPTを探しているのですが、物件の条項に“Section ８”と明記されています。
WEBで調べたら、low-income person　の為のProgramを受け付ける物件であると言う事が解りましたが、イマイチ要領を得ません。
詳しい人教えてください・
申告の仕方や補助を受けた場合の社会的なリスクなど有るのでしょうか？

サンフランシスコだったらRental Boardに問い合わせるとくわしいことがわかると思います。低所得者のための政府援助です。でも待ち時間もすごく長いと思います。社会的リスクという意味がいまいち理解できませんが、No Section 8という物件も多いです。
