In 1969, we opened our first overseas store in San Francisco, and as of April 2025, we have a total of 17 stores in major cities including New York, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Chicago, Seattle, and Portland, and a total of 4 MAIDO stores dealing in stationery ・ sundries. Each store focuses on handling Japanese books and magazines as well as stationery and general merchandise. In line with its mission of "introducing superior Japanese culture" and "making cultural contributions to the local community," MAIDO participates in conventions held throughout North America, organizes in-store events, and operates a sales office that provides services to academic institutions.
