*City Launches Community Survey for Biodiversity and Urban Forest Plan*

 

*"Mountain View, Calif."*" — "Community members are invited to take the Biodiversity and Urban Forest Plan’s Community Survey. Through the survey, the City of Mountain View seeks to learn more about resident perspectives on biodiversity and urban forestry in Mountain View. To take the survey, please visit BiodiversityMV.com [ https://biodiversitymv.com/ ]. The survey will remain open until the end of November.

The City is collaborating with the San Francisco Estuary Institute to create a groundbreaking citywide plan, the first of its kind in the San Francisco Bay Area. The plan will set clear priorities and goals to enhance and sustain the urban ecosystem for the long term. Key objectives include promoting environmental sustainability, climate resilience and health benefits through informed management of vegetation, habitats and trees in projects and ordinances. Additionally, the plan will integrate and expand the City's 2015 Community Tree Master Plan into a broader vision for managing and improving Mountain View's urban forest.
