今年の８月にサンフランシスコへ主人(学生ビザ)と渡米する予定です。
向こうで出産を考えております。渡米してから、向こうの保険に加入するべきなのでしょうか?
渡米前に何か準備しておくことはありますか?
ご経験のある方がいらっしゃいましたら、是非教えてください。

Rongさんはすでに妊娠されているのでしょうか?
だとしたら、こちらの保険で妊娠後に入れるものってあまり無いと思います。
そして出産費用は日本と比べたらかなり高いです。私はもう6年前になりますが、緊急帝王切開になり合計約$70,000の請求が来ました。保険会社が90%払ってくれましたが、それでも自己負担が約$7000でした（泣）。
妊娠中の検査等もお金かかりますし、出産後万一子供や自分に何かあったりしたら、億単位でかかることも有り得ます。
まだ妊娠していないなら旦那さんの保険に入れる（かも）しれませんが、学生の保険だと妊娠／出産はカバーされないものもあります。自分で入るとこれまたすごい出費になります。事前によ〜〜く調べてください。場合によっては日本で出産する方が良いかもしれないですよ。
