Community engagement for the Biodiversity and Urban Forest Plan is in full swing! Your participation is vital to ensuring that the needs and values of all community members are reflected in the Plan. The Plan will be the first of its kind in the Bay Area to provide a clear set of priorities for increasing and supporting urban biodiversity (the variety of animals, plants, trees) for long-term community resilience.

If so, mark your calendar for an exciting opportunity at Deer Hollow Farm’s School Year Docent Open House on *Friday, Sept. 27 from 10 a.m. - 12 p.m*. As a school year docent, you'll guide young minds on fascinating farm tours, teaching them about the animals, crops and rich history of the area. Your role will be to inspire curiosity and foster a love for nature. Don’t miss this chance to make a difference!

Dance into the summer season with Concerts on the Plaza! Join your family, friends and neighbors down at the Civic Center Plaza, located at 500 Castro St., for a variety of musical performances.
Bring a lawn chair, blanket or your dancing shoes. Food, beer, wine and other beverages will be available for purchase at the Bean Scene Cafe. Concerts take place every Friday through September, from 6 - 7:30 p.m.
