The Consulate of San Francisco has jurisdiction over Nevada.
Last year it was not Corona related, but every year the people at the San Francisco Consulate
would travel to Las Vegas to provide processing services.
I thought that Vegas residents had to be in San Francisco, but
maybe the consulate in LA can do it ？

My 86 year old mother recently came to visit me in the Bay Area and stayed at the Holiday Inn Express in Fisherman's Wharf, which was very comfortable. It was very comfortable, convenient to everywhere we went, and the lobby was spacious with coffee service!

Nice to meet you. I came to the US as a teenager after the Great Hanshin Earthquake, where my mother of Italian descent lived, and although circumstances have kept me from leaving now, I really wish I could have returned home.

I'm currently living in Silicon ・ Valley, but by last December I had lived in every big city and country here and there.

Americans don't know, aren't used to, don't know, and harbor a violent hatred for things that are even slightly different from themselves. There are Americans who don't, but those people are the exception.

In America, putting only oneself first, and bullying words and actions, is an old and withered "sign of strength".

And justice, etc., is determined by kind--race, gender, etc. In the world and in the courts. Especially if you are Asian, there is no justice if you are DV'd or killed.

Using tax laws, almost no one can even rent a room alone now. Eating out is mainly the same, cheap food is mostly junk food.

Medical care is too expensive and insurance may be unaffordable in some places.

Modern young couples often live with their children to pay rent for a 1R apartment, and parents may even work more than 4 jobs total.

Asian and Latino immigrants are taken advantage of or dumped daily. They are harassed from all sides, both at work and in the community while doing the work that Americans do not do at all.

Why on earth would anyone do anything in this situation, because over here, the power to change society is bought. People who are not property owners do not leave to become politicians.

And as you can see, different kinds of people have already decided how much money they can make.

The city of San Francisco is not safe, so I think staying in the South Bay is the right choice, especially if you and your daughter are together.
If you park on the street, there is a high probability that your car will be vandalized, so it is safer to park indoors or take an Uber or lift instead of driving yourself.
By the way, even if you report a car vandalism, it is basically not taken care of, and it seems that the police act less than 5% of the time.

I live in a residential area of SF city and was surprised to see downtown after a long time. After the pandemic, I felt that downtown SF (especially around the Civic Center) was not safe. I would recommend not to go out at night.

We did not have Liability, but had insurance on the rental car itself. The receptionist told me Liability was optional. That's not right either. This is a rental company with quite a lot of stores. We did not call Police. We had just come to the US and had an accident and were panicking.
The other driver was from Korea, but I don't know if he was in a hurry or what, but we didn't call them.
I have looked into credit card insurance and company insurance that would cover this accident, but I seem to be at a loss. We are still in the process of negotiating the amount.

Hi, I have a cat that I brought from Japan.
I leave him at my friend's house when I travel or go back to Japan temporarily. When my friend is traveling, I take care of my friend's cat. I don't receive any fee from my friend because we both have the same cat. We only exchange souvenirs.
If you are traveling for 2 nights, you can leave your cat at home if you prepare more water and food, and if possible, two toilets.

When leaving your cat at a friend's house, you need to be careful that
① the cat is spayed or neutered （ cats have a 100% pregnancy rate after mating ）
② you also bring a toilet （ that has your scent on it
③ Have your nails clipped （ It's quite scary to clip someone else's cat's nails ）
④ Have a room or cage where your friend's cat can be alone and safe for the first few days.
A collapsible cloth gauge called a pet tent is useful.

Also, it is important that the cats are compatible with each other.
If the owner agrees, you can leave the cat with the owner for a few days as a trial to see if they are compatible.
However, they will probably be intimidated for the first few days, but you may be able to see if they are just playing with each other or if they are fighting so hard that they could injure each other.

Cat sitting is great to have a familiar home environment, but
if you ask for about an hour a day, the other 23 hours may be lonely because of the solitude.
