車社会のアメリカなのに車がなくても楽に生活できます。家の目の前にバス停があり、52番線は　UC Berkeley graduate housing　からダウンタウンを通ってＵＣバークレーキャンパス一周します。徒歩10分内にはオークランドダウンタウン、サンフランシスコダウンタウン、バークレーダウンタウン直通のバスが通っています。ベイエリアの電車、BARTも駅まで徒歩5分. BARTでオークランド空港SF空港までいけます。ＵＣバークレーキャンパスまで徒歩30分、自転車7分。

バス停とBART駅ちかくで利便性も抜群。家の前にはCedar Rose Parkと大きな公園がありテニス、ピッケルボール、バスケットボールコートと遊具がありバーベキューピクニックスポットとして有名です。バークレー市主催のイベントも公園で年中ありアメリカの地元のお祭りを体験できます。(お祭りは子供中心なので午後には静かな住宅街に早戻り。)
