The Consolidated Plan is developed through a regional process led by the County of Santa Clara and in coordination with the City of Mountain View and other participating cities.

Successful Change of Season for
Citywide Garage Sale
Garage Sale Couple
The Citywide Garage Sale held on Sept. 14 and 15 was a big success with a total of 177 households registered for this year’s event. The event highlighted the City’s zero waste goals by promoting reuse, with an estimated 182.5 tons of items being sold or donated.
Following the garage sale, staff conducted a post-event survey. Per the survey, a 55% majority would like to continue having the sale in September, followed by 27% preferring to hold the event in May, 13% had no preference on the time of year, and 5% proposed other times of year.
Based on these results, next year’s event is being planned for mid-September 2025.
