Traffic Advisory for Santa Clara's Quad - Friday, August 1, 2025

The Annual Street Dance will take place on Friday, August 1 from 6:00 p.m. - 9:30 p.m. on Franklin Street, between Jefferson and Monroe Streets. The event will consist of live entertainment, local food trucks and vendors.

The Street Dance is taking place on the 1300 - 1400 blocks of Franklin Street. As a result, road closures, parking restrictions, alternate routes and other items to take into consideration are noted below.


* Franklin Street between Jefferson Street and Monroe Street will be affected as follows:
* On August 1 beginning at 10 a.m. through 6 a.m. on August 2 there will be no on-street parking or residential or business vehicular traffic on the 1300 block of Franklin Street.
* On August 1 from 2 - 11p.m. there will be no on-street parking or residential or business vehicular traffic on the 1400 block of Franklin Street. 


* Madison Street between Benton Street and Homestead Road will only be accessible to residents / businesses on those blocks from 9 a.m. - Midnight on Friday, August 1. Additionally, through traffic will not be available between Benton and Madison Streets 

* Temporary “No Parking” signs will be posted along the event area. Vehicles parked along the event area will be ticketed (minimum fine, $53) and towed (release fee, $85, plus storage fee). If your vehicle has been towed, it will be at one of the following locations:
* Lima Towing. 3591 Thomas Road, 408-986-8267
* Unique Towing, 416 Aldo Avenue, 408-249- 5253


* City staff will aim to minimize resident and business inconvenience

* Be observant and monitor your environment. If you notice suspicious objects or observe suspicious behavior, report this information to local law enforcement immediately. The Santa Clara Police Department can be contacted for non-emergencies at 408-615-5580 or 9-1-1 in the case of an emergency.
