Learn More     Los Altos Announces Compost Station Availability for 2025 The City's self-serve compost station will return for three weeks in 2025, the first being Wednesday, April 9-Friday, April 18, at the Los Altos Community Center parking lot. Residents must bring containers and gloves; shovels will be provided. A waiver must be completed before using the compost station. Learn More     Library Tax Exemption Available for Low-Income Seniors The North County Library Authority offers a tax exemption from its $76 annual tax to low-income seniors. To qualify, individuals must meet the income threshold of $64,550 for single-person households or $73,750 for two-person households. The submittal deadline is Monday, June 30.
