Trusted Response Urgent Support Team (TRUST)

TRUST is a community service that helps Santa Clara County residents during an urgent mental health or substance use situation with a free mobile crisis response team that provides low-risk de-escalation assistance, referrals, and stabilization services. Join us for an in-depth discussion about who TRUST is, how and when they began, and how to use their services.

In this workshop, we will be making a mini art booklet using watercolor and mixed media techniques. Participants can tell their story through brightly painted colors, shapes, and writing. Take part in the California Highway Patrol’s (CHP) "Age Well, Drive Smart" senior driver education class. Age Well, Drive Smart program was developed to assist senior drivers to continue to drive safely. This workshop is taught by a CHP Officer and will cover topics such as aging and its effects on safe driving, maintaining good physical health, self-assessment, and more.

Indoor Dining
Community Services Agency's Senior Nutrition Program has a full dine in meal service in the Social Hall of the Mountain View Senior Center. Doors open at 10:30 a.m. Sign in will begin at 11 a.m. Lunch will be served from 11:45 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. The Social Hall will close at 1 p.m.
*Lunch service is first come, first served. On occasion, not all patrons can be served.*

SALA appointments at the Senior Center on the first Wednesday of each month from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. In order to receive free legal services, patrons must be at least 60 years of age and a Santa Clara County resident.
SECOND HARVEST
Free Grocery pick-up is the first through fourth Tuesday of each month, 8:30 - 10 a.m. Pre-registration is necessary. Please see the Front Desk for more information or visit the Free Grocery program on days/times of operation. Sponsored by the Second Harvest Food Bank [ http://www.shfb.org/ ].

Health Insurance Counseling and Advocacy Program (HICAP) appointments are available at the Senior Center the 2nd Tuesday of each month from 8:30 - 10:30 a.m. Volunteer counselor can help you understand your specific rights and health care options.

AARP TAX PREP
Mountain View Senior Center will again host AARP Tax-Aide post-season tax help on the second and fourth Wednesdays from May through October 2024. Appointments are set at 9 & 10 a.m.
