仕事に使えそうなＳＦ都市圏のデータを見つけましたので整理して転載します。ＳＦ都市圏とは、サンフランシスコ、ペニンシュラ、ノースベイ、サクラメント、イーストベイ、サウスベイ、サンタクルズ、モントレーまでを含んだ地域全体のことをここではさしています。
①全体人口 709万人（東京都が1,300万人）
②邦人人口 2.9万人（山形県長井市相当）
③邦人比率 0.32％（1,000人中3人くらい）
④ＳＦ都市圏の日系紙標準部数 ４,６５２部（標準的な部数の推定値）
⑤ＳＦ都市圏の日系紙限界部数 １８,０７９部（これ以上は統計的にありそうにないという限界部数の推定値）
これらの数字から次の３つの結論が導き出されるそう。
【結論１】邦人２．９万人に対して日系紙の発行部数が１８,０７９部を超えることは統計的にほぼありそうにない。
【結論２】実質的な部数はこれよりももっともっと少ないはず。
【結論３】広告を出すときは宣伝をする相手が９９７人なのか３人なのかをまずは明確にすべき。
如何でしょうか。とても信頼できる数値だと思います。
経費を最小にするためにも、こういった客観的な数字をもとにしていろいろなことを検討したいものです。

『まずは～を』というフレーズについてどこかで指摘を受けたらしく、そのことが気に入らなかったせいか頭から離れず、フレーズの意味をあまり考えずに、そのフレーズを多用することだけを半ば自己目的化させてしまっているそうです。そういう姿は確かに面白いですが、意味や効果をよく考えてそれぞれのシーンにあわせて適切に使うようにした方がお客さんのためではあります。

これは無料紙の（美容室の）紹介文ですが、この文のとおりかという以前にもっと他に書くことがあったのは明らかです。インタビュー相手をダシに使ったと。今回の稲盛塾長のご判断もやむをえません。

（A）「いろいろなプランの中から自分にあったものを選ぶのは大変だから、まずはご連絡を」
という文の文意は、”いろいろなプラン”の中に本質的で最も安い基本プランがあれば（A）のままですが、なければ
（Z)「基本プランがないことに気づかれてしまっては利益にならないから、まずはご連絡を」
という意味が多少なりとも入ってきます。そして基本プランがないことは早かれ遅かれ塾の人々には気づかれますから、それでも変われずに基本プランを扱わないままなら、（A）の文意は（Z）で確定です。「あたいらは現地サポートを提供する会社だから」と２０１９年の夏のように矛先を逸らそうとしても無理。無理は戒。
そうすると次に、確信犯的に蜜を吸っているのを隠蔽するために、いろいろ文脈を変えては、「まずはご連絡を」を多用して山ほどそのレプリカを作ってばらまき、「こういう言い方は普通にあるんだが」とすっとぼける。こうした奇妙さはマズコの骨の髄に沈着していて、塾長もそれに気づいたでしょう。塾生の一部は気づいています。
もうひとつ例を挙げてみましょう。
担いでいるデザイン思考の講師AはUCバークレーで教えているといいます。日本の田舎ではUCバークレー教授と紹介させていました。しかし講師A自身が書いた詳細なプロフィールにはUCバークレーの文字はないし、当の大学の中の人も知らない。講師Aはとっくの昔にLAに引っ越しているし、UCバークレーエクステンションならエクステンションと書くべきだし、講師Aの通訳者Bがデザイン思考の講座内容を覚えて自ら講座をひらいても、誰の通訳をどの会社でしてきたのかが（明かした方が宣伝になるのに）伏せられているし。具体的にみてみましょう。
① ５０ドル＠オークランド（英語）（講師Aの主催）、
② ３万５０００円～１万８０００円＠東京（英語（講師A）＋日本語通訳（通訳者B））（留学斡旋会社の主催）
③ ３０００円＠東京（日本語）（通訳者B個人の主催）
①③は同じような値段ですが②は突出しています。それと主催者を②③で分けています。②③を同じ出所の異なる講座として並べて宣伝することができないのです。つまり、「②とほぼ同じ内容を日本語のみで学びたい方は３０００円の講座③をご用意しております」と言えないのです。言えば②③の差額の１万５０００円～３万２０００円が露呈するわけで、結局ここでも同じ構造が繰り返されいて、要はこれがビジネスモデルなのでしょう。
塾のナパ合宿でどんなに結束を確認しても、安い本質的なプランを用意していないことへの人々の視線は消えません。塾長例会は一時的にそういうのを消してくれましたが、長くは続かなかった。だからマズコは追っかけと化した。塾長の等身大パネルの横で「あたいら頑張ってます♪」といくらアピールしても、塾長は世界大会にも現れなかった。忘年例会に現れればいいけど、まずは自分から基本プランを提示することからでは？と塾生らが教えてくれました。
