In 1969, we opened our first overseas store in San Francisco, and as of April 2025, we have a total of 17 stores in major cities such as New York, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Chicago, Seattle and Portland, and a total of 4 MAIDO stores dealing in stationery ・ sundries. Each store sells Japanese-language books, Japanese-language books, Japanese-language books, and Japanese-language books. Each store focuses on handling Japanese books and magazines as well as stationery and general merchandise. In line with its mission of "introducing superior Japanese culture" and "making a cultural contribution to the local community," MAIDO participates in conventions held throughout North America, holds in-store events, and operates sales offices serving academic institutions.
