Apply Here Public Works Progress Caltrans Construction Update The City would like to make residents aware that Caltrans is planning construction work soon in San Mateo County beginning in Spring 2025, including: 1. The US 101/92 Interchange Area Improvements Project will make safety and operational improvements in the US 101/92 interchange, starting this spring and scheduled for completion in Summer of 2028. See the project factsheet below. Please note that this work is separate from the US 101/92 Direct Connector Project. San Mateo County Transportation Authority staff will present about the US 101/92 Direct Connector Project to the San Mateo City Council on April 7, 2025. 2. Caltrans is planning crosswalk enhancements beginning March 10 in several locations in San Mateo County, including San Mateo's freeway on- and off-ramps at Hillsdale and 3rd/4th Avenue. Caltrans provides bimonthly updates for San Mateo County here on their website. These updates include project and program updates as well as information about Caltrans resources. Parks and Recreation News Introducing A New Event Celebrating AAPI Heritage Month Join us as we launch a vibrant new celebration honoring Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) Heritage Month! This event will showcase the rich cultures, histories, and contributions of AAPI communities through dynamic demonstrations, interactive experiences and amazing food and drinks.
