Fix a Leak Week: How To Investigate

Many leaks have easy fixes that can save residents about 10% on water bills. Fix a Leak Week reminds us to sleuth around our homes and fix leaks as we find them. For easy home leak checks, visit SantaClaraCA.gov/FixALeak [ https://www.santaclaraca.gov/our-city/departments-g-z/water-sewer-utilities/water-conservation/fix-a-leak ].

If you're uncomfortable conducting a leak check yourself, schedule a free leak check appointment with Water & Sewer Utilities. City technicians perform leak checks at the meter; they will not enter your property or home. It’s up to you to fix the leak with a plumber’s help.

If you find a leak and get it fixed, ask for a Leak Credit! We’ll compare your water use during the leak with the same period in the previous three years and may rebate up to 50% of the overage.
