City of Fremont Notice of Public Hearing: Establishment of Building Appeals Board and Amendment to Master Fee Schedule

Notice is hereby given that the City of Fremont City Council will hold a public hearing to consider the following proposal. Said public hearing will be held at 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 17, 2024, Council Chambers, 3300 Capitol Ave., Bldg. A, Fremont, CA, at which time all interested parties may attend and be heard:

*ESTABLISHMENT OF BULDING APPEALS BOARD AND AMENDMENT TO MASTER FEE SCHEDULE* – Public hearing (published notice) to consider an amendment to the Fremont Municipal Code Sections Title 2 (Administration & Finance) and Title 15 (Buildings & Construction) to create a Building Appeals Board and an amendment to Master Fee Resolution 8672 (Master Fee Schedule) to establish a Title 15 (Buildings & Construction) appeal fee. The board would hear and decide appeals of orders, decisions, and determinations made by the City's Building Official and Fire Marshal related to building and fire codes. The proposed action is exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) per CEQA Guideline 15061(b)(3), in that it does not have the potential for causing a significant effect on the environment. The appeal fee would be effective November 18, 2024.
 
If you challenge any decision of the City Council in court, you may be limited to raising only those issues you or someone else raised at the public hearing described in this notice, or in written correspondence delivered to the City Council at, or prior to, the public hearing.
