Email from City of South San Francisco Enforcement begins November 11 PRESS RELEASE Monday, November 4, 2024 South San Francisco Partners with Laz Parking for Parking Enforcement Enforcement begins November 11   SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, Calif., November 4, 2024 – The City of South San Francisco has announced its selection of LAZ Parking to provide parking enforcement services within the city. This collaboration is part of the city’s ongoing efforts to enhance parking compliance, pedestrian safety, and ensure smooth traffic flow throughout the community. LAZ Parking will be responsible for promoting parking compliance by issuing citations to violators of the City of South San Francisco Municipal Code and the California Vehicle Code. The enforcement services will be in effect Monday – Saturday, excluding holidays, and with varying hours of operation. When LAZ Parking personnel is not available, South San Francisco Police officers will promptly respond to calls for service. The collaboration between both agencies aims to ensure that parking enforcement remains efficient and reliable at all times. All LAZ Parking personnel will be attired in a distinctive yellow and black shirts with khaki-colored pants to ensure their identification. Their employees are not armed and do not have any authority to take any police action other than issuing parking citations. You will see LAZ employees driving around in new, white Toyota Corollas, with a “LAZ” logo on the doors, with amber colored lights on top. This visible branding on the vehicles will help eliminate confusion and reinforce the legitimacy of the parking enforcement operations. Residents and visitors of South San Francisco are encouraged to familiarize themselves with these changes to ensure a smooth transition and cooperation with the new parking enforcement provider. It is essential for all community members to adhere to the parking regulations outlined in the City of South San Francisco Municipal Code and the California Vehicle Code to avoid citations.
