An online survey is available to share feedback on what priorities you would like to see the City Council adopt for 2025. Survey closes on January 5. Share input at www.cityofpaloalto.org/CouncilPriorities2025Survey. Volunteer on the Planning & Transportation Commission, Apply by January 15 Consider volunteering for the Planning and Transportation Commission (PTC), recruitment for two full term and one partial term positions is underway. The PTC plays a vital role in advising the City Council and City staff on key matters such as land use, transportation programs, zoning, and the Comprehensive Plan. Annual Test of the City’s Emergency Alert System Conducted Today Over 17,000 contacts were notified through text, email and/or call today of the annual test of the City’s emergency alert system. Staying informed during emergencies is important for everyone. Should the City need to alert you of an emergency situation, it will use AlertSCC. Please consider signing up or adjusting your alert preferences. Conducting an annual test of our emergency alert system builds awareness of the ways the City shares information in an emergency and ensures residents are in the loop when it matters the most. Join Your Neighbors Saving the Planet One 🏠 at a Time Switch to a heat pump water heater for only $2,100, saving $200 for a limited time. Join nearly 500 of your eco-hero neighbors saving the planet one home at a time. Save when installing a heat pump heating and cooling system (HVAC), thanks to California State incentives. Moderate- and low-income eligible residents can save up to $8k.
