サウスオブマーケット地区の治安について

シカゴからサンフランシスコに出張で行きます。
あまり良く調べずに、サウスオブマーケット地区のホテルを取ってしまったのですが、調べてみると治安があまりよくないと書いてあるのですが、サンフランシスコに住んでいらっしゃる方、実際女性一人で泊まるのは危険でしょうか?
場所は７ＴＨとMission Stの交差点あたりです。
UNION SQUARE付近のホテルでセミナーがあるので、そこまで歩こうと思っていたのですが、大丈夫でしょうか?時間は、深夜、早朝ではありません。
ご意見お聞かせください。

サンフランシスコ在住の者です。
7th×Missionですが、確かに雰囲気のいいエリアではないです。
6thよりはマシですが、昼間でも路上に薬などでフラフラした方々がいます。
感じ方は個人差があると思いますが、私なら１人じゃ泊まらないかなー。
