The City of Mountain View has been conducting research and analysis to update its Historic Preservation Ordinance, which sets requirements, processes and incentives for the designation and review of alterations to historic resources, and the Historic Register, which is the list of historic resources that have been formally evaluated and identified as having historical significance.

A draft list of properties meeting eligibility criteria for listing in Mountain View’s Historic Register is now available on the website at:

The list also includes draft evaluations of these properties. We invite you to provide feedback on these evaluations to determine final eligibility for the Historic Register.

The City is providing several opportunities to learn more about this project and provide input on the Ordinance updates:
