Registration Updates

Customers hoping to create a new customer account for recreation programs should be aware that the City is currently upgrading its recreation software system. As a result, the option to create accounts online is "temporarily unavailable". During this upgrade period, new accounts can still be created in one of two ways:


* In person at the Sunnyvale Recreation Center (550 E. Remington Drive)
* Email rec@sunnyvale.ca.gov

To help staff process your account setup efficiently, please include the following information in your email or bring it with you in person:


* Full name, birthdate, and home address for each individual to be added to the account
* Preferred email and phone number for communications such as waitlist updates, cancellations, and other notifications
* Proof of Sunnyvale residency, if applicable. This includes a valid government-issued photo ID (such as a driver’s license or passport) and a recent utility bill or lease agreement

The City appreciates your patience as we work to improve your recreation experience. Stay tuned for updates on when the online system will reopen.

Last call for vendors who are interested in hosting a table at the Senior Center Resource Fair on Wed, Oct. 8. *Deadline to submit an application [ https://content.govdelivery.com/attachments/CASUNNYVALE/2025/09/02/file_attachments/3375160/SC-Resource-Fair-Vendor%20Packet%202025.pdf ] is Sept. 10. *

The Resource Fair is a free event hosted by the Department of Library and Recreation Services. It’s designed to connect Sunnyvale residents with a wide range of local services and programs—from health and wellness to housing, education, and recreation. We’re aiming to bring together organizations and city departments that can offer valuable resources to our community in one accessible and engaging setting.

State of the City

It will feature the Mayor's speech, community awards board and commission recognition and a community resource fair and reception. We hope to see you there!

We are proud to provide a wide range of services that cater to the needs of our community. Monday through Friday, stop by our Fitness Room for a workout after work or school. Grab some pantry staples at our Family Harvest Grocery Distribution, which takes place on the fourth Wednesday of each month.

Super Safari Preschool

*Now enrolling for 2025-26 School Year*

Want to help your child get used to a structured environment? Sign them up for Super Safari Preschool, a two- or three-day a week half-day program that is based on play. The program runs from September through May. All children must be 3 years old by Sept. 1 and be potty trained by the first day of class.
