Join the Community Services department on Saturday, July 4, from 10 AM - 2 PM for our annual Glorious 4th Independence Day Celebration at Shoup Park (400 University Ave)! Celebrate with live music, games, activities, and more! This is a free event for all to join, and no registration is required. Food will also be available for purchase. Learn More PUBLIC READING OF DECLARATION Celebrate with us for America's 250th anniversary with the first public reading of the Declaration of Independence on Wednesday, July 8 at 2:45 PM! Presented by the Daughters of American Revolution with the City of Los Altos and the Town of Los Altos Hills, this event will also be live streamed. Come be a part of a nationwide reading! Learn More   Los Altos-Santa Clara County Fire Department Office Hours The City of Los Altos and the Santa Clara County Fire Department are hosting a series of community outreach sessions at the Neutra House to discuss the proposed annexation into the district. Our next session will be held on July 30, 12 - 3 PM. Community members are invited to attend to learn more and speak directly with our team. Learn More   Summer Concerts will be back July 9 Soak Up the Summer Vibes with our Summer Concert Series! We won't be having a concert this Thursday, but make sure to join us on Thursday, July 9 from 6:30 – 8 PM at Grant Park with Carnaval. Learn More   Heat Pump Rebates Applications are open on SVCE's website! We're partnering with Silicon Valley Clean Energy (SCVE) to provide additional new rebates for heat pump appliances. Learn More   Wildfire Preparedness Workshop Join the Wildfire Preparedness Workshop on Thursday, August 27, at the Los Altos Community Center! Learn how to reduce wildfire risk and better prepare your home, your family and your neighborhood. This workshop will include a wildfire readiness presentation and then an opportunity to visit resource tables staffed by local agencies to assist you in preparing and answering your wildfire preparedness questions. America is turning 250 years old and California is turning 175 this year! This year marks a massive historic milestone for both the state and the country. America is celebrating its Semiquincentennial (250th anniversary), while the Golden State marks its Demisemiseptcentennial (175th anniversary). 2026 is a massive celebration of how far both the nation and the state have come. To especially celebrate our 250th, we'll be hosting a public reading of the Declaration of Independence on Wednesday, July 8 at 2:45 PM.
