The Updated Draft Parks and Recreation Strategic Plan is Now Available for Your Review and Feedback

 

The updated draft *Parks and Recreation Strategic Plan* is now available for public review.

The revised draft reflects additional feedback from the City Council, Parks and Recreation Commission (PRC), and community members and further refines the Plan's goals, strategies, and implementation framework. The Plan establishes a clear direction for how Mountain View will expand, enhance, and sustain its parks, open spaces, and recreation system over the next 10 to 15 years. 

Key updates include the addition of a new goal focused on biodiversity and natural elements, refined park acreage analysis by Planning Area, and targeted updates to the Action Plan.

City staff will present the draft Plan at a Parks and Recreation Commission meeting on Tuesday, March 17, 2026. Community members are encouraged to attend in person or virtually.
