As we step into October, the City of Santa Clara reflects with pride and gratitude on the vibrant celebrations of Hispanic Heritage Month. The Santa Clara City Council passed a Proclamation for Hispanic Heritage Month to honor the rich cultural traditions, histories, and contributions of Latino residents who have helped shape the heart and soul of our city.

Looking ahead, October brings new opportunities to deepen our civic engagement, support local initiatives, and prepare for the season of giving. Whether it’s volunteering at a local shelter, attending a neighborhood cleanup, or participating in our Parade of Champions, we encourage every resident to stay involved and stay inspired.

Santa Clara is a city of many cultures, united by shared values. Let’s carry the spirit of celebration forward - building a community that’s inclusive, resilient, and ready for the future.

State of the City

We recently hosted our State of the City event, where the Mayor shared exciting updates and celebrated the many positive developments happening across Santa Clara. The evening also honored outstanding community members through our District Community Awards, and we’re proud to share that District 1 resident Helen Narciso was among the awardees. Helen is a truly remarkable individual whose boundless energy and dedication have made a lasting impact—not only in the Fairway Glen Neighborhood, where she’s been a tireless advocate, but throughout the city. Her five years of service on the Senior Advisory Commission exemplify her commitment to making Santa Clara a better place for all. Thank you, Helen, for your inspiring leadership and unwavering engagement.
