Be wary of tax-related scams

At this time of year, you may receive phone calls or text messages from strangers offering to help you with your taxes. When seeking tax help, only work with people and organizations you trust. If you are not sure whether an organization is trustworthy, ask your librarians at the Information Desk. They can help you look for red flags.

"Real Americans [ https://sunnyvale.bibliocommons.com/v2/record/S173C1971531 ]", by Rachel Khong

In immersive, moving prose, Rachel Khong weaves a profound tale of class and striving, race and visibility, and family and inheritance—a story of trust, forgiveness, and finally coming home.

Exuberant and explosive, "Real Americans" is a social novel par excellence that asks: Are we destined, or made, and if so, who gets to do the making? Can our genetic past be overcome?

Chocolate Hazelnut Macaroon Torte by Smitten Kitchen [ https://smittenkitchen.com/2013/03/chocolate-hazelnut-macaroon-torte/ ]

Passover is Jewish holiday that celebrates the freedom of the Hebrew people from enslavement in ancient Egypt according to the Torah. The celebration lasts for eight days and starts with a feast called the Passover Seder.

This year, add this Chocolate-Hazelnut Macaroon Torte [ https://smittenkitchen.com/2013/03/chocolate-hazelnut-macaroon-torte/ ] from Smitten Kitchen to your Passover festivities. The recipe is gluten-free, and the mildness is suitable for those guests with less of a sweet tooth. Although the recipe as written includes whipped frosting, dairy-free Seders can substitute this Marshmallow, or Seven Minute Frosting [ https://smittenkitchen.com/2008/02/homemade-devil-dog-ding-dong-or-hostess-cake/ ].
