Summer reading prizes are here!
Level Up at Your Library [ https://sunnyvale.beanstack.com/reader365 ]

Did you complete the Summer Reading challenge? Congratulations! Claim your prize drawing tickets before Sunday, Aug. 31.

 


* *Children and teens:* Enter one of three prize drawings, based on age group. Log more books and activities for more entries. Children's prizes include educational toys for babies and toddlers and a terrarium kit for older kids. Teen prizes include a Chipotle gift card, a Pint of Joy gift card and a drone.

 


* *Adults:* Claim a $5 gift certificate for our Friends of the Sunnyvale Public Library [ http://fotsvl.org/ ] bookstore. Cardholders may also enter one of four prize drawings. Learn about the prize bundles below.

 

Finish the challenge by speaking to a librarian at the Library or at the Sunset Movie Series [ https://www.sunnyvale.ca.gov/recreation-and-community/special-events ], which takes place at a different park each Friday in August.

#1 "Rainbow Road" Prize

Our first adult prize bundle is for Nintendo lovers looking to bring the Mushroom Kingdom—and other classic games—into their homes.

 

NES Classic Edition

*NES Classic Edition.* This modern replica of the 1980s Nintendo Entertainment System comes loaded with 30 classic games, including "Galaga", "Kirby's Adventure", "The Legend of Zelda" and "Super Mario Bros". Connects to a screen using HDMI.

 



Mario coasters

*Super Mario coasters.* Four coasters featuring iconic items from the world of "Super Mario". Place your drink on a mushroom, a shell, an egg or a star. Each coaster is a little under 5 inches by 5 inches.

 



LEGO Piranha Plant

*LEGO Piranha Plant.* The Piranha Plant is a carnivorous plant that appears in the "Super Mario Bros." game. This LEGO rendition of it is designed for adults to construct. The Piranha Plant is 540 pieces. When completed, it stands 9 inches tall.

This prize is for tabletop gamers. We've selected prizes that will enhance the tabletop experience for both beginners and seasoned players, for adventurers and dungeon masters, as well as for players of non-RPG games that use dice.

 

Polyhedral metal dice set

*Polyhedral metal dice set.* This set from Die Hard Dice includes the seven dice necessary for many tabletop RPG games. These dice are made of a zinc alloy, which gives them a nice weight, with beveled corners that make them easy to roll.

 



DIY wooden dice tower

*$50 gift card for Leigh's Favorite Books.* This independent bookstore on Murphy Avenue carries popular new titles, as well as a variety of fun gifts. If they don't have the book you want in stock, you can ask the staff to special order it for you.

*$25 gift card for *Heroes & Champions*.* Not a fan of games or comics? Find gifts and decor at Heroes & Champions as well. Last time our librarians visited, we found Pokémon plushies and a "Toy Story" snowglobe.
