Silicon Valley Reads Teen Bookmark Art Contest

The deadline to enter the contest has been extended until *Sunday, Feb. 22!*

*Grades 6-12*

*Submissions accepted until** Sunday, Feb. 22*

 

Up to ten submissions will be selected for a public voting period between March 2 and March 20, from which three winners will be selected.

 

*Design Theme: Bridges to Belonging*

In today’s world, the need for connection is more important and more powerful than ever. Our 2026 theme, Bridges to Belonging, explores how we can build bridges... to one another, to our families, and to our communities, to create genuine belonging.

 

*Submission Guidelines*


* Entrants must be in grades 6-12. Limit one entry per person.
* Artwork must be accompanied by a signed entry form.
* Artwork must be original, previously unpublished, and free of copyright restrictions. Upon submission, entrants grant the Sunnyvale Public Library all rights to the artwork and consent that all artwork maybe displayed and/or reproduced without limitation and without compensation.
* Artwork must be printable to a 2" x 6" single-sided bookmark.
* Artwork may be digital or traditional. AI-generated art will not be accepted.
* Entries may be submitted in person at the Children’s Information Desk or via email to librarystaff@sunnyvale.ca.gov. Digital entries must have a resolution of 300 dpi or higher for printing purposes. Artwork will not be returned to entrants. Entrant’s name should not appear on the artwork.
