Belonging Starts at Home: Practical Tools for Parents of Young Children

For parents and caregivers

Tuesday, June 2, 7 to 8:30 p.m.

Online

Registration required

How do we help young children learn compassion, respect differences, and build meaningful connections in a diverse world?

During this interactive workshop, Aki Raymer, MA of Parenting Paths will share practical, research-informed ways to create an inclusive family culture at home. Drawing on principles from early childhood development, we’ll discuss how young children understand difference, fairness, identity, and belonging — and how everyday interactions shape their worldview.

Participants will leave with:

* Practical tools for talking about difference with young children
* Strategies for fostering empathy, inclusion, and belonging
* Everyday ways to help children respect differences
* Ideas for building a compassionate and inclusive family culture
* Developmentally appropriate language and responses for common questions and situations

Together, we’ll explore how small daily moments can help raise compassionate kids who feel confident, curious, and connected to others.

Please note that this program is for *adults only* and is not intended for children.
