Recreation Swim

Dive into summer fun—Recreation Swim is still happening at Washington Pool and Columbia Pool! Don’t miss your chance to make a splash before the season ends. Daily admission is just $5 for residents, $6 for non-residents, and only $1 for families approved for the 2025 Recreation Scholarship. Check out our swim schedule below.

Sunset Movies Series

Grab your blankets, lawn chairs, and favorite snacks—it's time to enjoy movies under the stars! Our *Summer Movie Series* kicks off this August with family favorites that everyone will love. Come early to snag the perfect spot and visit our *snack bar*, opening at *7 p.m.*, for all your movie-time munchies. Films begin *around 7:40 p.m.*—so get comfy and let the magic begin!

Individuals of all ages and abilities are invited to enjoy a story in our all-inclusive Magical Bridge Playground.

*Fun on the Run*

Catch the Fun on the Run truck before the summer ends! This mobile recreation program is offered until Aug. 7. Stop by for games, sports, arts and fun to local city parks - no registration required! Space is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Parents or guardians must complete an emergency card and waiver on the child’s first day of participation. See our summer schedule below.

Fall Registration Opens

Pumpkins, parks and plenty to do! Registration for fall activities opens on Monday, Aug. 4 at 9 a.m. 

Join us this season to: 


* Explore a variety of classes, including art, fitness, dance, sports, health and wellness, STEM, and swim lessons for preschool-age and elementary-age children, teens and adults 

* Enjoy engaging school break camps such as Camp Discovery, Gymnastics Camp and Spike Prime Robotics Camp 

* Dive into fall swim lessons 

* Celebrate the return of the Sunnyvale Youth Basketball League 

* Discover new classes for older adults like Creative and Musical Collaborations and Soundtracks for Stories 

* Experience the Evening of Cultural Arts with four exciting shows throughout the season

Super Safari Preschool

*Now enrolling for 2025-26 School Year*

Super Safari Preschool is a half-day, play based program for children ages 3-5 years. It is designed to provide children their first experience in a structured environment. The program runs September through May and follows the Sunnyvale School District schedule.

Fun from the 4th of July

Thank you to everyone who came out to the 4th of July Festival in Downtown Sunnyvale! It was a day full of fun, laughter and celebration as nearly 5,000 guests enjoyed 30 carnival games, scored free prizes and danced along to live performances by Lori & RJ, Choo Choo Soul and The Peelers. It was amazing to see families and friends come together to celebrate in a safe, festive atmosphere. We look forward to hosting more exciting events in the future.
