Celebrate Jewish American Heritage Month by learning about Synagogues in the United States. Scholar and author Oscar Israelowitz will take us on an online tour of this country's oldest and newest synagogues. The tour will range from major cities such as New York and San Francisco to lesser visited locations such as Oil City and Corsicana.

Chinese Calligraphy [ https://sunnyvale.libcal.com/event/14106277 ]
IN-PERSON: Chinese Calligraphy Class

*Saturday, May 24, 3 to 4:40 p.m.*

Celebrate Asian-American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month with a calligraphy class led by Jojo Liu! This session introduces the basics of Chinese calligraphy, including brush techniques and stroke order.

 

This program is for adults only. It will take place in the Library Program Room. Registration [ https://sunnyvale.libcal.com/event/14106277 ] for this workshop is full. Participants, please arrive promptly. If you arrive late, your seat may be given to someone else. If you are waitlisted, you may wait outside the Program Room at the time of the workshop in case of no-shows. No-show spots will be available for walk-ins on a first come, first served basis.

 

This is a beginner class and may be redundant for those who have taken previous Chinese calligraphy workshops with Jojo Liu at our Library.
