Our theme this year, A Place for Everyone’s Story, honors the role the Library plays as a shared civic space where individual lives and community history meet. Join us for the programs below. San Mateo Chats: Next Generation Pathology Tuesday, April 21, 2026 6:00-7:00 PM, Main Library/Oak Room Dr. Lisa McGinnis, Director of Spatial and Digital Pathology in Research Pathology at Genentech, discusses how advances in technology are expanding the field of pathology and reshaping how scientists study disease. Originating in the 1870s, choro blends virtuosic instrumental playing with rhythmic vitality and improvisation.
