July is Parks and Recreation Month

This year's theme, "Where You Belong," honors the numerous ways park and recreation professionals foster a sense of belonging in their communities by providing welcoming and inclusive activities. Come celebrate America’s Independence Day with Sunnyvale's community. Join us for an aerial drone show! Bring a flashlight or headlamp to safely walk in the dark. Parking is first come, first served. Carpool is encouraged. Bike Valet parking available. 


* 6:30 p.m. - Free parking opens  
* 7 p.m. - Live DJ begins  
* 9:15 p.m. - 10 minute show begins

Free Monthly Legal Clinic

Columbia Neighborhood Center in partnership with Asian Law Alliance hosts FREE legal clinics where you can consult with an attorney about immigration, housing, public benefits or family law legal issues. Consultations average 30 minutes. Appointments required. 

Clinic is offered in two formats:

Special Event Permits

Are you planning a summertime gathering? You may need a permit! If your event includes one or more of the following components, you must submit a special event permit application:


* Open to the public
* Large attendance anticipated
* Community event, carnival, or festival
* Hosting carnival games or petting zoo
* Profit or revenue sharing
* Reserving 3+ Baylands picnic areas or Great Meadow Area
* Closure of streets
