Louis Armstrong's Red Beans and Rice [ https://nmaahc.si.edu/events/juneteenth-dishes-taste-and-savor-recipes-sweet-home-cafe-cookbook ] comes from a typewritten version of the legendary trumpeter's family recipe for his favorite dish.
For a vegan take on the dish, try this Vegan Red Beans and Rice [ https://sweetpotatosoul.com/new-orleans-red-beans-rice-video/ ] recipe by Jenné Claiborne, author of "Sweet Potato Soul Vegan Vibes [ https://sunnyvale.bibliocommons.com/v2/record/S173C1997888 ]".
