🌸 Kinmon Gakuen's "Saturday After Class" New Start 🌸
Kinmon Gakuen in San Francisco Japantown will start a new program "Saturday After Class" to provide a place where children can learn Japanese in a more natural and fun way. While the regular morning classes provide a solid foundation for learning, the afternoon hours are a special time to experience the "joy of using Japanese" through culture and fun.
[January Course Outline]
■ Dates ： January 10, 2026 ～ Four times on January 31 （ Every Saturday ）
■ Time ： 1 pm ～ 3 pm
■ Target 5 years old ～ High School Students （ Age Mix Class ）
■ Tuition ： $ 200
■ Materials ： No textbooks required.
A small additional fee may be charged for materials depending on the content of the activity.

The class features hands-on learning that does not rely on textbooks. Activities such as origami, seasonal crafts, and traditional games will be offered with a different theme each time. For example, students can learn about the four seasons and culture of Japan through origami and creative activities such as writing at the beginning of the New Year and playing "fukuwarai" (happy laugh) at New Year, and flower-themed origami and creative activities in the spring. What we value is a learning style that is "fun so you can continue". By using Japanese in play and creative activities, students accumulate a sense of accomplishment of "I did it ！", which leads to self-confidence. These experiences will encourage students to want to use Japanese outside of the classroom and make learning a part of their daily lives.

The program is open to students from 5 years old to high school students, regardless of age or level. By working together with children of different ages, cooperation and social skills are naturally fostered. This program supports children's growth from many angles, enriching not only their ability to communicate in Japanese, but also their creativity and expression.

This "Saturday After Class" is more than just language learning; it is a place to experience Japanese culture and have fun with their peers. We hope that families will be excited about this new initiative. Kinmon Gakuen will continue to devise ways to help children feel more familiar with the Japanese language, enjoy and love it more, and gain more confidence.
